wits in Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex

Connect your wits account and ask for what you need: save a list from a conversation, set a reminder, or find something you said last week. Everything lands in the same wits you use on your iPhone, Apple Watch, and the web.

What you can ask

  • “Save this packing list to wits.”
  • “Remind me to call the dentist Thursday at 3pm.”
  • “What did I capture about the kitchen renovation?”
  • “Add oat milk and coffee beans to the groceries list.”
  • “What’s on my wits agenda this week?”

Reminders you set this way arrive on your phone like any other. Each answer links to the item in wits, so you can open it and edit it there.

Claude on the web, desktop, and phone

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Plugins, then choose Add → Add marketplace.
  2. Enter AswinTorch/wits-plugin, then install wits.
  3. Open the plugin’s Connectors tab, select Connect, and sign in with your wits account.
  4. Keep Sync automatically on for the marketplace (it is on by default) so you get updates without checking.

wits then works in Claude on every device signed in to your Claude account.

Claude Code

Run these in a Claude Code session:

/plugin marketplace add AswinTorch/wits-plugin
/plugin install wits@witsnotes

Then run /mcp, choose plugin:wits:wits, and sign in. To update later, run claude plugin update wits@witsnotes or turn on auto-update for the marketplace in /plugin.

ChatGPT and Codex

ChatGPT and Codex share one wits plugin. It is coming to the ChatGPT plugin directory; until then, add it to Codex:

codex plugin marketplace add AswinTorch/wits-plugin
codex plugin add wits@witsnotes

Sign in to wits when Codex asks. To update later, run codex plugin marketplace upgrade witsnotes.

Your account, your choice

  • When you connect, you choose whether the assistant can only read your wits or can also make changes.
  • Locked notes are never available to the connection.
  • Shared lists and reminders keep their existing permissions.
  • Disconnect at any time in Settings → Connections.
